This probably requires a Google Account but it can probably forward to non-Google destination addresses. But why on Earth would you not have a Gmail account anyway? That's just crazy talk.

When you join, you can set yourself to get no e-mail (not useful), e-mail, abridged(?) e-mail, or digest e-mail. If you think I'm long winded, digests might be safest, but normal email is fine too.
